WOMEN`S WORLD CUP SOCCER GAMES AT SOLDIER FIELD JUNE 24 & 26 SERVED BY CTA `L` TRAINS AND EXTRA BUSE

CTA 'L' trains and extra buses will serve fans attending the Women's World Cup soccer games at Soldier Field Thursday, June 24, and Saturday, June 26.National teams from Brazil and Italy are scheduled to play at 5 p.m. Thursday, followed by the U.S. and Nigeria at 7:30 p.m. Saturday's contests are at 4 p.m. between Sweden and Ghana, and at 6:30 p.m. between Norway and Japan.

CTA's Red Line subway station at Roosevelt Road and the adjacent 'L' station served by Green and Orange Line trains are within easy walking distance of Soldier Field via Roosevelt and the Museum Campus in Grant Park.

For the Women's World Cup games, Soldier Field will also be served by CTA's #130 Grant Park Treasures buses, which normally operate only on summer weekends between the Ogilvie Transportation Center (NorthWestern Station), Union Station and the Museum Campus in Grant Park. #130 buses will operate from the stations to Soldier Field every 7 ? to 12 minutes Thursday from 2:20 p.m. until 7:12 p.m. Return trips to the stations both Thursday and Saturday will continue until at least 45 minutes after each game ends.

Soldier Field can also be reached by taking #12 Roosevelt buses, which operate east on Roosevelt from the western city limits to McFetridge Drive at the north end of the field. #146 Marine-Michigan buses serve Soldier Field from North Michigan Avenue and State Street downtown, while #6 Jeffery Express buses from the South Side will stop nearby on Roosevelt Road.

Before the games, #12 Roosevelt shuttle buses will supplement regular service to Soldier Field from the Red, Green and Orange Line rail stations at Roosevelt. After the games, shuttle buses on the #12 Roosevelt route will make return trips from McFetridge Drive back to the Roosevelt stations.

After the game also, extra buses on the #146 route will take riders to State Street downtown, while other #146 buses will operate over the regular route via State and North Michigan to the North Side. #6 Jeffery Express buses will stop eastbound on Roosevelt at Columbus until about 10:40 p.m. both nights.
